Rehab

I specialise in supporting people living with chronic conditions and recovering from acute events like strokes.
At Active Future in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, I offer one-to-one sessions based on bespoke programmes based on your personal condition and goals.

During the past 10 years my client base has been predominantly neurodegenerative conditions, as well as Parkinson’s Disease I have trained with clients who have had severe strokes, suffer with vestibular issues, alien limb syndrome, lewy body dementia and Alzheimer’s.

My experience is exercise offers motivation, structure.  Regular activity that improves general fitness levels, cognitive & physical functions, a chance to achieve goals and improve self-confidence and self-worth.

Patience, understanding, and care works hand in hand with the tailored exercises.

Each session can be adapted in an instance to suit the needs, whether its mediation, relaxation, taking the weight of someone’s shoulders.  Maybe they need a longer warm up, going for a walk outside, playing games like balloon tennis or a shoulder or neck massage.

I am qualified and adaptable to the needs and emotional changes if need be.

These conditions effect not only the person suffering but their loved ones and carers.

Each situation is unique, and life can be very limiting, lonely and often frightening for those who are the main carers.  I am always happy to do what I can to support the family members.

The first consultation session is free.

Tailored for your needs

Drawing on my extensive training, I tailor each one-to-one session to your functional ability, fitness level, and health conditions. Each session is light-hearted and fun, with absolutely no pressure. We understand that some days are better than others and we go at your pace.

Many of the exercises in our repertoire can be tailored to ensure the relevant muscle groups are getting the right workout. I aim to improve:

Balance | Stability | Muscular Strength | Flexibility | Confidence | Mobility | Functional Capacity | Coordination
