A Healthier, Happier You
The best way to keep fit is with your very own personal trainer. At Active Future in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, we offer one-to-one classes with a private fitness instructor who specialises in health and exercise for older adults. Most of our clients are in their 70s or 80s and each session is tailored to be safe and effective.
Stability is important for staying safe in your own home. Charlotte Fairs is a trained PSI (Postural Stability Instructor) who helps people with Parkinson's, balance problems, and other conditions to improve stability and prevent falls. Find out how fitness classes can benefit you or a loved one. We offer a free initial consultation at your home, during which we discuss your needs and goals, as well as any conditions you may have. Our sessions are tailored around the types of exercise you prefer. The most important thing is that you enjoy the exercises and feel the benefits as soon as possible. There's no point in doing exercises you aren't going to enjoy.
Drawing on her extensive training, Charlotte tailors each one-to-one session to your functional ability, fitness level, and health conditions. Each session is light-hearted and fun, with absolutely no pressure. We understand that some days are better than others and we go at your pace. Many of the exercises in our repertoire can be tailored to ensure the relevant muscle groups are getting the right workout. We aim to improve:
Balance | Stability | Muscular Strength | Flexibility | Confidence | Mobility | Functional Capacity | Coordination
Our personalised sessions are perfect for house-bound adults and can help people suffering from fibromyalgia, arthritis, or MS. A one-to-one class ensures you receive the undivided attention of your trainer and you benefit from exercises that are specifically designed for your needs. Each session can be held in the comfort of your own home and we always operate with patience and understanding. You'll receive personal care, friendly advice, and a listening ear.
Our one-to-one sessions include a complete book of exercises and equipment so you can do weekly homework between sessions. Sessions are available in 30-minute or one-hour blocks and begin with a pre-exercise assessment.
Price from £40 per hour (depending on location).
